What is an AI video editor?
An AI video editor is a timeline editor with AI video editing and generation built in. Vidwip AI Studio is a browser video editor with video and audio tracks, a preview and a tool rail. Generate shots on 16 video models, stills on 9 image models, and speech, music and SFX with ElevenLabs, and every result lands on your timeline next to your own footage.
Is my AI Studio project saved?
No. A project is a local draft that lives in the open tab. There is no autosave and no cloud project, so closing or reloading the tab loses the edit. Export before you close it. Your generations are different: every AI render is saved to your Vidwip library and shows up in Media files, ready to lay on a new timeline.
How does export work, and what quality do I get?
Export runs in your browser and records the edit as it plays, so a 40-second cut takes 40 seconds. Keep the tab in front. Pick High quality (1080p), Standard (720p) or Small file (480p), all at 30 fps, or export audio only. Video comes out as MP4 where your browser can record it and WebM otherwise; audio as M4A, WebM or OGG. 1080p is the ceiling. Nothing is uploaded, and export adds no watermark.
Which AI models can I use inside the editor?
Generate video offers 16 models, including Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 Pro, Seedance 2.5, Hailuo 3, Wan 3.0, FLUX.3 Video and Grok Imagine 1.5. Generate image offers 9, including Nano Banana 2, GPT Image 2 and Seedream 4.5. Audio runs on ElevenLabs v3, Music v2 and Sound Effects v2. What media can I bring into the editor?
Upload video, audio and images from your device, add .srt or .vtt subtitle files, or record your screen or camera in the browser. Images land as 5-second stills you trim like any clip. Your files play from your device and upload only when you run an AI tool on them. One limit: Screen + camera records the screen and microphone, without a webcam overlay.
How does Edit video cut my footage?
Select one or more clips, open Edit video, and write what to make, or tap an idea like Vlog story, Highlight reel or Tighten the talk. Pick Auto, or a length shorter than your footage: 30 s, 1, 3, 5 or 10 minutes. ElevenLabs Scribe v2 transcribes up to 2 hours across 24 clips, DeepSeek V4 Pro picks the moments, and the cut lands as editable clips. It works from speech, so footage where nobody talks can't be cut.
Can I edit a video by editing its transcript?
Yes, from an audio clip. Transcribe & edit speech opens the Transcript panel with every word ElevenLabs Scribe v2 heard, up to 30 minutes per transcript. Select words and press Delete or Cut: that stretch leaves the audio and any linked picture, later clips move up, and the cut words stay struck through until you undo. The same panel adds subtitles, or translates them into 94 languages first.
What doesn't AI Studio do?
No templates, no collaboration, no transitions and no 4K. Share copies the Studio link, but the edit itself stays in your tab, so nobody else can open it. Subtitles burn into the export, and you can't download them as an SRT or VTT file. Dub audio re-voices the sound without lip sync, and the audio tools work on audio clips of limited length, such as 10 minutes for background removal.
Do I need to install anything?
No. AI Studio runs in your browser on a desktop or a phone, with nothing to download. Sign in, open Studio from the sidebar, and upload, record, cut and export on your own device. Your timeline, the Playback controls and export all run in the tab, so a cut never waits on a server. Only the AI tools reach a server, and they upload only the files they work on.
