Free tools

Free AI video tools

Every Vidwip account starts with 100 free credits and no credit card. Each tool below shows what those credits buy on it, and lets you set up a job before you sign up.

Make and edit video

Animate explainers, cut video in the browser and turn long videos into shorts.

Voice, music and podcasts

Speech from a script, narration from a screen, songs from a sentence.

Dub and subtitle

Take a video or a show into another language.

On paid plans

AI video needs a paid plan, so these show what a job costs on each one.

How free works here

Free credits, not a countdown

Three things follow from that, and they are the three that decide whether a free tier is usable.

No clock on it

There is no 7-day window and no countdown. 100 credits land on the account at sign-up and stay until you spend them. They are a one-time grant and don't reset each month, so spend them on one real job you can judge.

Only AI video is gated

Free accounts reach the same voices and languages as paid ones, and only narrated demos carry a small badge. AI video generation and character swaps need a paid plan. Beyond those, what a plan adds is credits every month, batches, and renders that queue instead of waiting.

Every tool spends the same balance

One grant across the studio, drawn down at each tool's own rate. That is why the same 100 credits are worth 25 seconds of dubbing but 50 min of subtitles: dubbing clones voices and re-times speech, and it bills again for every language.

FAQ

Questions about the free plan

The grant, the catch, the card, and why the allowance differs per tool.

Are Vidwip's free tools actually free?
Yes, within a one-time credit grant. Every account gets 100 credits at sign-up with no credit card, and each tool draws from that balance at its own published rate: 240 credits a minute for dubbing, 60 for narrated video, 2 for subtitles. Editing and exporting in the AI Studio cost nothing at all. The grant doesn't reset each month. AI video generation and character swaps sit outside it and need a paid plan.
What is the catch with free AI video tools?
On Vidwip the catch is the size of the grant, and it's worth being blunt about it: 100 credits is 25 seconds of dubbing or 50 min of subtitles, once. It's enough to run a short job end to end and judge the output, not enough for a back catalog. A podcast episode and an animated explainer cost more than the grant, and AI video generation and character swaps need a paid plan. Narrated demos carry a small badge; nothing else is stamped.
Do I need a credit card to use the free tools?
No. Sign-up takes an email address and nothing else, and the free grant is on the account from the first minute. A card is only asked for if you move to Starter ($25/month for 2,500 credits) or Pro ($99/month for 10,000).
Why is the free allowance different on each tool?
Because the grant is a credit balance, not a quota of jobs, and each tool costs a different amount to run. Dubbing transcribes, translates, clones a voice and re-times audio, so it bills 240 credits a minute, per language; subtitles only transcribe, at 2. The same 100 credits therefore buy 25 seconds of one and 50 min of the other.
