Before and after

Skip the booth, keep the performance

A recorded voiceover needs a mic, a quiet room and retakes. Here you write the words and choose who says them.

With a mic or a voice actor

  • Set up a mic in a quiet room and read it until one take comes out clean
  • Coach the delivery take by take: softer here, warmer there
  • Find a translator, then record the script again for every language
  • Level the audio, export a file and import it into your editor

In Vidwip

  • Paste up to 5,000 characters, pick a voice and press Generate
  • Write a cue like [warmly] in the script and the voice acts it out
  • Pick one of 74 languages and the AI agent translates it before it is spoken
  • Get one mastered MP3 at an even level, already on your timeline
Voice samples

Native voices in 23 languages

Press play to hear each voice in its own language, with accents from Mexican Spanish to Gulf Arabic and Brazilian Portuguese. Then pick the one that fits your script.

Each sample plays in the voice's native language. Every voice can read your script in any of the 74 languages.

How it works

From script to voiceover in three steps

Open Audio in the AI Studio, generate a voiceover, and fill in three fields: Script, Voice and Language.

01

Paste your script

Up to 5,000 characters, about 5.5 minutes of speech. Add a cue like [warmly] to direct the read, and a blank line for a pause.

02

Pick a voice and language

Play samples from 21 voices, filter by accent, category, gender or age, then keep 'Same as script' or pick one of 74 languages.

03

Generate the track

The AI voices it, Vidwip masters it to -14 LUFS, and one MP3 lands after the audio already on your timeline.

Features

Direct the read, not only the words

Pick a voice, a language and the pacing: each control shapes how your script sounds, and the finished track is ready to cut.

Audio tags

Direct the delivery, not just the words

Write a cue in square brackets, like [whispers] or [warmly], and the voice performs it instead of reading it aloud. You get the read you hear in your head, without coaching a voice actor take by take.

  • Cues like [whispers], [warmly] and [excited]
  • Every other word spoken exactly as you wrote it
  • Up to 5,000 characters per track, about 5.5 minutes
Voice picker

Hear 21 voices before you choose

Play any sample in the Choose a voice dialog, filter by accent, category, gender and age, and compare voices without closing it. You pick the voice that fits the read by ear, not by guesswork.

  • American, British and Australian accents
  • Narration, educational, conversational and more
  • Every voice speaks all 74 languages
74 languages

One script, every language

Keep Same as script, or pick a language and the AI agent translates it paragraph by paragraph, keeping your tags, names and brand spellings. Every voice speaks every language, so one voice can carry your brand into every market.

Pause control

Pacing you set with a blank line

Leave a blank line between paragraphs and the voice pauses before the next one, while the Script box estimates the spoken length as you type. You can check the timing before you generate.

Mastered MP3

A track that's ready to cut

Every voiceover is mastered to -14 LUFS as one MP3 and placed after the audio already on your timeline. You skip leveling and importing, and start trimming right away.

Saved voice settings

One voice for the whole series

After each track, your voice and language stay selected and only the Script box clears. Paste the next lesson or scene and it goes out in the same voice, so a course or series sounds consistent.

The models

GPT-5.5 translates, ElevenLabs v3 performs

With Same as script, your words reach the voice unchanged. GPT-5.5 steps in only when you pick a language, and ElevenLabs v3 speaks every line.

  1. 01

    GPT-5.5

    OpenAI

Translates your script into the language you pick before it is voiced, keeping [audio tags], names and brand spellings.

    • 74 languages
    • Optional step
    • Tags kept
  2. 02

    ElevenLabs v3

    ElevenLabs

Speaks your script in the voice you picked and performs bracketed cues as direction, not words.

    • 21 voices
    • 74 languages
    • Audio tags

Keep 'Same as script' and GPT-5.5 is skipped: ElevenLabs v3 voices your words exactly as you wrote them.

Who it's for

For writers who'd rather not record

Write the words once, then voice them in the tone and language each video needs.

YouTube creators

Voice a faceless explainer from your script, with a pause before each point and [warmly] on the sign-off.

Course creators

Narrate every lesson in the same voice, which stays selected between tracks, up to about 5.5 minutes per track.

Product marketers

Voice a launch video in English, then pick Spanish or German for the next track. The translation keeps your brand names.

Ad teams

Voice three hooks for the same ad in three different voices, then run them in your ad account to see which read wins.

Storytellers

Give a narrator a mood: [warmly] for the opening, a blank line before the twist, in one of 21 voices.

Video editors

Voice the narration from the locked script and cut to it, without booking a session or waiting on a recording.

What is an AI voiceover generator?
An AI voiceover generator, or AI voice generator, turns written text into spoken audio, which is why it's also called text to speech. In Vidwip, open Audio in the AI Studio and generate a voiceover: paste a script of up to 5,000 characters, pick one of 21 voices and a language, and ElevenLabs v3 speaks it. You get one MP3, mastered to -14 LUFS, on your timeline.
Which AI models voice my script?
ElevenLabs v3 speaks every voiceover and performs your audio tags. GPT-5.5 from OpenAI runs only when you pick a language: it translates the script paragraph by paragraph first, keeping tags, names and brand spellings. Keep 'Same as script' and no AI rewrites a word. There is no model picker: you set only the script, the voice and the language.
How many voices and languages are there?
21 premade ElevenLabs voices: 13 male, 7 female and 1 neutral, with American, British and Australian accents. Every voice speaks all 74 languages, so you can keep the same voice for each language you voice. Play any sample before you pick, and filter by accent, category, gender or age.
How long can my script be?
Up to 5,000 characters, about 5.5 minutes of speech, and the Script box shows the estimated length as you type. Vidwip voices it in takes: a paragraph over 800 characters is split, between sentences where it can, with a short breath at each split, and every word is still spoken. The takes are joined into one track.
How do I control the tone and pacing?
Write audio tags in square brackets, such as [warmly], and ElevenLabs v3 performs them instead of reading them aloud. A blank line between paragraphs adds a pause. There are no stability or speaking-rate sliders on the voice: the pacing comes from your tags and your blank lines.
Can I edit the voiceover after it's generated?
Not line by line. The script is voiced as one track, so you can't regenerate a single sentence. To change a line, fix the script and generate a new track: your voice and language stay selected. On the timeline you can trim the clip, split it and change its volume.
Can I clone my voice or voice a dialogue?
No. The voiceover tool offers the 21 premade voices only, with no voice cloning or custom voices, and each track uses one voice. For a dialogue, generate each line as its own track in the speaker's voice, in order: each lands after the last. You also can't preview a translation before it is spoken, and every track comes out as an MP3.
Is it free to start?
Yes. Vidwip is free to start, and no credit card is required to sign up. A free start is enough to try a short read, not a full 5,000-character script, and every voice, language and audio tag works from the start.
