Vidwip AI Music is the pick when the score sits under a video: it composes instrumentals from 10 s to 3 min that end on your cut's exact length. Stable Audio is the closest swap for long cinematic beds, with 6-minute tracks and a DAW plugin, and Suno Premier is the cheapest way to keep a MIDI workflow. For copyright-safe beds, Soundraw trains only on in-house music. Beatoven.ai closed its consumer app in August 2026, so it's off this list.
The best AIVA alternatives in 2026 are Vidwip AI Music for scores sized to a video, Stable Audio for long cinematic beds, and Suno Premier if you still need MIDI. AIVA remains a strong composer, but its licensing pushes a lot of people to look around.
On AIVA’s Free and Standard plans, AIVA keeps the copyright to what you make. Only Pro, at €33/month plus VAT billed annually, hands it to you (checked October 2026).
This list ranks seven AIVA alternatives on what composers and video teams actually need: style control, track length, MIDI and stem export, who owns the result, and price. Every price was checked on the vendor’s own pricing page in October 2026.
TL;DR: the best AIVA alternatives at a glance
| # | Tool | Best for | MIDI | Paid from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Vidwip AI Music | Scores that end on your video’s last frame | No | Free to start, no card |
| 2 | Stable Audio | Long cinematic beds, up to 6 min | No | $12/mo |
| 3 | ElevenLabs Music | Licensed tracks with stems | No | $6/mo |
| 4 | Soundraw | Copyright-safe background music | No | From $5.99/mo (yearly) |
| 5 | Suno | MIDI in a full studio (Premier) | Premier | $10/mo |
| 6 | Soundful | Cheap royalty-free tracks in bulk | No | $9.99/mo |
| 7 | Mubert | Long ambient and app music | No | $14/mo |
A note on Beatoven.ai: it used to belong on any AIVA list. It closed its consumer service in August 2026, and its Maestro model is now licensed to businesses only.
Why people look for an AIVA alternative
AIVA writes instrumental music in more than 250 styles and exports MIDI on every plan, including free. For game composers and film students, that’s still rare.
Three things push people elsewhere.
Copyright. AIVA owns what you make on Free and Standard. If you want to monetize beyond YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and Instagram, you need Pro.
Length. Free tracks top out at 3 minutes, Standard at 5, and Pro at 5 minutes 30 seconds. A long ambient bed or a full trailer cue can run past that.
Fit. AIVA composes a piece, then you cut it to your scene. If the music lives under a video, you still have to trim, loop or fade it to the edit.
What to look for in an AIVA alternative
Style control. Can you pick orchestral, cinematic or ambient, set a tempo and steer the arrangement? A single prompt box is not the same as composing.
Export formats. MIDI lets you rewrite the parts in a DAW. Stems let you remix the mix. MP3 alone means you take the track as it is.
Ownership and licence. Check who owns the copyright, and which uses the licence covers: social video, ads, games, film, or streaming release.
Length per generation. A 6-minute cap and a 3-minute cap are very different tools for a trailer or a game level.
1. Vidwip AI Music
Vidwip AI Music: original instrumentals and songs composed to the length of your video
Vidwip AI Music is an AI music generator inside Vidwip’s browser video editor. It composes an instrumental or sung track from 10 seconds to 3 minutes in one of 16 styles, including Orchestral, and drops the MP3 on your timeline.
AIVA gives you a composition and leaves the fitting to you. Vidwip starts from the cut: you set a length, and the track is made to end right there with a 1.5-second fade, so there’s no trimming or looping.
Pick a style (Orchestral, Lo-fi, Electronic, Jazz, Synthwave, Acoustic and 10 more), switch to instrumental, and set a tempo or leave it on Auto. You can describe the mood in your own words too, like the instruments, the era or the build.
The track is mastered to -14 LUFS, the same level Vidwip’s voiceovers use. A voiceover sits on top without riding the faders, and music, picture and voice stay on one AI Studio timeline.
Pros
- Tracks end on your chosen length, from 10 s to 3 min, with a soft fade
- 16 styles, including Orchestral, with an instrumental switch
- Set the tempo yourself or leave it on Auto
- Mastered to -14 LUFS so it sits under a voiceover
- Lands on the same timeline as your video, with no download and re-import
- Can also sing your lyrics in 32 languages when you want a song
Cons
- No MIDI, WAV or stem export: you get an MP3
- 3 minutes is the ceiling per generation
- 16 styles, against AIVA’s 250+
- Vidwip publishes no separate music licence, so read its terms before a streaming release
Best for: YouTube creators, marketers and editors who want an original score that fits a specific cut.
Pricing: Free to start, no credit card. Starter $25/month (2,500 credits), Pro $99/month (10,000 credits). See Vidwip pricing.
2. Stable Audio
Stable Audio: Stability AI’s music model, tracks up to 6 minutes with a DAW plugin
Stable Audio is Stability AI’s music generator for instrumentals, loops and sound design. It’s the closest swap for AIVA when you need long cinematic or ambient beds.
Every paid plan generates tracks of any length up to 6 minutes, past AIVA Pro’s 5:30 cap. Multi-track generations give you separate parts to mix, and a plugin runs Stable Audio inside Logic, Ableton and Pro Tools.
You lose AIVA’s MIDI. What you get back is audio you can drag straight into a session, and a commercial licence from the cheapest paid plan.
Pros
- Tracks up to 6 minutes on every paid plan
- Multi-track generations you can mix part by part
- DAW plugin for Logic, Ableton and Pro Tools
- Commercial licence from the $12 Solo plan
Cons
- No MIDI export
- Free tier is personal, non-commercial use, about 12 full mixes a month
- Multi-track generations cost more credits than full mixes
- Prompt-driven, with no style catalogue to browse like AIVA’s
Best for: Composers and editors who need long instrumental beds and separate parts in their DAW.
Pricing: Free (50 credits/month), Solo $12/month (about 165 full mixes), Session $30/month (about 450), Producer $90/month, Studio $199/month. Checked October 2026.
3. ElevenLabs Music
ElevenLabs Music: Music v2, instrumental or sung, with stems and section editing
ElevenLabs Music is a text-to-music model from the voice company, now on Music v2. You set genre, mood, instruments and structure, and it composes instrumental or sung tracks.
Its edge is the licence story. ElevenLabs says Music v2 was built in partnership with artists, labels and publishers, and you can regenerate one section of a track without starting over.
There’s a catch for AIVA’s core audience. Per its FAQ, self-serve plans allow commercial use except for film, TV and studio games, which need an Enterprise deal.
Pros
- Built with artists, labels and publishers, per ElevenLabs
- Inpainting: regenerate one section and keep the rest
- 2- and 4-stem downloads on Starter and Creator, up to 6 stems on Pro
- One credit pool shared with ElevenLabs voice tools
Cons
- Self-serve plans exclude film, TV and studio games
- Starter allows commercial use but not streaming release
- No MIDI export
- No published maximum track length
Best for: Brands and agencies that want licensed music for ads and social, with stems to adjust the mix.
Pricing: Free (about 11 min of music/month, personal use), Starter $6/month (about 33 min), Creator $22/month (about 134 min, first month half price), Pro $99/month (about 667 min). Checked October 2026.
4. Soundraw
Soundraw: instrumental background music from a model trained only on in-house music
Soundraw is the most cautious pick on this list. Per its licence page, the model is trained using input from Soundraw’s in-house music team, with no scraped data.
You choose a mood, genre and length, then use the Mixer to toggle instruments, tweak intensity and set the length until the track fits. It’s closer to AIVA’s edit-the-composition workflow than a pure prompt box.
Creator plans cover background music in your projects. Artist plans add release on Spotify and other streaming services, but only after you modify the beats.
Pros
- Trained only on in-house music, per Soundraw
- Unlimited downloads on Creator
- Mixer to toggle instruments and set energy and length
- WAV and stems from Artist Pro
Cons
- No MIDI export
- Creator downloads are MP3 only
- Registering tracks in Content ID is not allowed
- Companies with 10 or more employees need an Enterprise quote
Best for: YouTubers and podcasters who want background music with the lowest copyright risk.
Pricing: Creator from $5.99/month (unlimited MP3), Artist Starter from $10.49/month, Artist Pro from $12.59/month (WAV, stems) and Artist Unlimited from $17.49/month, all billed yearly. Monthly billing costs more, and prices vary by region. Checked October 2026.
5. Suno
Suno: the best-known AI song generator, now with MIDI inside Suno Studio on Premier
Suno is known for songs with vocals, but it also makes instrumentals. For AIVA users, the reason to look is Suno Studio, which on Premier now includes MIDI, effects and automation.
That makes Suno Premier one of the few ways to keep a MIDI workflow outside AIVA. You also get stem separation and up to 30 minutes of audio uploads to build on.
The limits are downloads and labels. Pro caps you at 20 song downloads a month and Premier at 60, and Suno’s v6 models launched in September 2026 in partnership with Warner, BMG and Believe.
Pros
- Suno Studio with MIDI, effects and automation on Premier
- Instrumentals and full songs from one tool
- 3 stem separation types on Premier
- Commercial rights on both paid plans
Cons
- MIDI is Premier only
- Downloads capped at 20 a month on Pro and 60 on Premier
- Free plan has no downloads and no commercial rights
- No orchestral style catalogue; you steer with prompts
Best for: Composers who want MIDI and stems plus the option to add vocals later.
Pricing: Free (50 credits/day, no downloads), Pro $10/month or $8/month billed yearly (2,500 credits, 20 downloads), Premier $30/month or $24/month billed yearly (10,000 credits, 60 downloads, Suno Studio with MIDI). Checked October 2026.
For more vocal-first picks, see our Suno alternatives roundup.
6. Soundful
Soundful: producer-led AI music with 150+ styles on paid plans
Soundful is an AI music generator for royalty-free tracks, built with producers. Its homepage counter showed more than 47 million tracks created when we checked in October 2026.
Generations are unlimited on every plan. What you pay for is downloads: 100 a month on Plus and 400 on Pro, in MP3 and WAV, with 150+ styles.
It’s moved toward brand music lately, with a sonic branding service next to the generator. For a solo creator, the self-serve plans are still among the cheapest here.
Pros
- Unlimited generations on every plan, including free
- 150+ styles on paid plans
- MP3 and WAV downloads from Plus
- Stem packs on Pro and Business
Cons
- No MIDI export on the plans listed on its pricing page
- Free is a personal licence with 1 MP3 download a month
- Business plans are for companies under $1M in revenue
- Its licence page doesn’t spell out which plan covers which commercial use
Best for: Creators who need lots of royalty-free tracks on a small budget.
Pricing: Free (1 MP3/month), Plus $9.99/month or $4.99/month billed yearly (100 downloads), Pro $14.99/month or $9.99/month billed yearly (400 downloads), Business from $49.99/month. Checked October 2026.
7. Mubert
Mubert: text-to-music and image-to-music with tracks up to 25 minutes
Mubert generates music from text or an image, by mood, genre and BPM. It wins on length: paid plans make tracks up to 25 minutes, far past AIVA’s 5:30.
Pro adds a full Track Editor that changes structure, stems, BPM and key, then regenerates a new version. Business covers apps, games and agency work.
Read the restrictions first. Mubert tracks can’t go to Spotify, can’t be registered in Content ID, and can’t be used in new projects after you cancel.
Pros
- Tracks up to 25 minutes on paid plans
- Track Editor for structure, stems, BPM and key on Pro
- Lossless WAV and unlimited downloads on paid plans
- Business plan covers apps and games
Cons
- Creator plan is non-commercial; commercial use starts at Pro
- No streaming release and no Content ID registration
- Can’t use old tracks in new projects after you cancel
- All payments are non-refundable
Best for: Streamers, app makers and video teams who need long ambient or background loops.
Pricing: Free (25 tracks/month, 5 downloads), Creator $14/month or $11.69/month billed yearly, Pro $39/month or $32.49/month billed yearly, Business $199/month or $149.29/month billed yearly. Checked October 2026.

How to choose the right AIVA alternative
Pick Vidwip AI Music if the music goes under a video. It composes to the length of your cut, masters to voiceover level, and keeps the score next to your picture on one timeline.
Pick Stable Audio if you write long cinematic or ambient cues and work in a DAW. Six minutes per track and a Logic, Ableton and Pro Tools plugin cover most trailer and game-level beds.
Pick Suno Premier if MIDI is the reason you use AIVA. It’s the cheapest plan here with MIDI inside a full studio.
Pick Soundraw or Soundful if you need lots of background music with low copyright risk. Soundraw for its in-house training, Soundful for the lowest price per download.
Pick ElevenLabs Music or Mubert for licensed tracks with stems, or very long loops. Skip ElevenLabs self-serve for film, TV or studio games.
Stay on AIVA Pro if you need 250+ styles, MIDI and full copyright in one place. At €33/month billed annually, it’s still the most complete composer for scores.
If you’re adding narration to the same video, our ElevenLabs alternatives list compares voice tools, and AI video voiceover shows how to put a voice over your cut. For songs you only need to stream, see our Udio alternatives.
The verdict
AIVA is still the deepest AI composer for instrumental scores, but its copyright terms and length caps push many creators to look around. For a score that ships inside a video, Vidwip AI Music composes an instrumental that ends on your last frame, and it’s free to start at app.vidwip.com.
For standalone composition, Stable Audio is the best swap for long beds and Suno Premier the best for MIDI. Whichever you choose, read the licence for your plan before you publish, because the rules on games, film and streaming differ a lot.
