Mureka is still one of the most complete lyric-to-song tools, with reference tracks, 12 stems and unlimited downloads on paid plans. Vidwip AI Music is the pick when the song goes under a video: it writes or takes your lyrics in 32 languages and makes a song that ends when your video does, from 10 seconds to 3 minutes. Suno has the deepest editing, ElevenLabs Music the clearest licensing statement, Google Flow Music the most songs per dollar, and Tad AI the cheapest paid plan with a commercial license. Udio still makes songs, but you can't download them.
Mureka alternatives matter when you like writing your own lyrics but need something Mureka doesn’t give you: a song that fits a video, clearer licensing, deeper section editing or a cheaper plan. This guide ranks seven tools that turn lyrics into finished songs.
We compared each on vocal quality, lyric languages, editing and commercial use. Every price was checked on the vendor’s own page in October 2026, in US dollars.
What Mureka does well, and why people look elsewhere
Mureka is an AI song generator from Kunlun Tech built around lyrics. You paste lyrics, add a style, upload a reference track if you want one, and pick a model: V9.5, V9, V8, O2 or V7.6 on paid plans.
It’s one of the most complete tools in the category. Paid plans add remix, extend, editing a selected area to fix lyrics or melody, AI music videos and Mureka Co, a chat assistant for creating and remixing.
Mureka’s plans: Pro and Premier, priced in Gold credits.
Mureka’s pricing (checked October 2026 on mureka.ai/subscribe):
- Free: 4 songs a day on the older v7.5 model, MP3 downloads, no commercial rights
- Pro: $10/month billed monthly, or $8/month billed yearly ($96 a year). 5,000 Gold, up to 500 songs a month, unlimited MP3 downloads, reference tracks, full commercial rights
- Premier: $30/month billed monthly, or $24/month billed yearly ($288 a year). 20,000 Gold, up to 2,000 songs a month, 12 stems, WAV, MIDI and DAW session exports, voice cloning and Mureka Studio
So why switch? These are the common reasons:
- The song has to fit a video. Mureka makes songs, not soundtracks cut to a timeline. You still trim, loop and level them yourself.
- The free tier is a demo. Free runs an older model and grants no commercial rights.
- Licensing questions. Mureka grants commercial rights on paid plans but doesn’t say what its models were trained on. Some teams want a vendor that names its label partners.
- Editing depth. Suno’s section replace, stems and Studio go further for producers who live in the edit.
- Language clarity. Mureka doesn’t publish which languages its lyrics can be sung in.
How we ranked these Mureka alternatives
| Criterion | What we checked |
|---|---|

| Lyric input | Paste your own lyrics, AI-drafted lyrics, and section labels like [Verse] and [Chorus] |
| Lyric languages | Whether the vendor publishes which languages it can sing |
| Editing | Extend, replace a section, inpaint, remix, stems |
| Reference audio | Can you upload a track to steer the sound? |
| Downloads and rights | Download caps, file formats and the plan where commercial use starts |
1. Vidwip AI Music
Vidwip AI Music: paste lyrics or describe the song, pick a length, and the MP3 lands on your video timeline.
Vidwip AI Music is an AI song generator inside a browser video editor. It makes original songs or instrumentals from 10 seconds to 3 minutes, with lyrics sung in 32 languages, sized to your video.
Paste your own lyrics, or say what the song is about and press Generate lyrics with AI. You can change any line after.
Then you pick one of 16 styles: Children, Pop, Rock, Punk, Hip-hop, Rap, Electronic, Lo-fi, Funk, Jazz, Acoustic, Country, R&B, Reggae, Synthwave or Orchestral. Set the tempo yourself or leave it on Auto.
Pick a length and the song is made to end right there, with a soft fade. No cutting or looping, and it plays at the same volume as your AI voiceover.
Pick a lyrics language and your lines are translated, then sung, with names kept as you wrote them. Under the hood, Suno plans the song and ElevenLabs Music v2 makes it.
The finished MP3 lands on your timeline in the AI Studio, next to your footage. Remix song is the one tool that takes a song in: select a song you own, write new lyrics, and it keeps the sound while singing your new words.
Pros
- Songs end at the length you pick, from 10 seconds to 3 minutes, with a soft fade
- Lyrics sung in 32 languages, translated first, with names kept as written
- 16 styles, sung or instrumental, with tempo set by you or on Auto
- AI can draft the lyrics, and you can edit any line
- The track lands on a video timeline next to your footage, voiceover and subtitles
Cons
- No reference-track upload to steer a new song. Remix song only re-sings a song you own with new lyrics
- No stems, WAV or MIDI export: you get an MP3
- 3 minutes is the ceiling for a new song, so it’s not built for full album tracks
- No section inpainting or extend: you regenerate or remix instead
- It won’t imitate a real artist, so describe the era, instruments or voice instead
- The product page makes no licensing or commercial-use claim for music, so confirm terms before a streaming release
Best for: YouTubers, ad teams and brands who need a song sized to a video, with lyrics about their product in the viewer’s language.
Pricing: Free to start, no credit card. Starter $25/month ($20/month billed yearly), Pro $99/month ($79/month billed yearly), Enterprise custom (see Vidwip pricing, checked October 2026).
2. Suno
Suno: the deepest editing set of any song generator here.
Suno is an AI song generator for full songs with vocals, offering licensed v6 models, section editing, stems and commercial rights from $10 a month.
Suno began rolling out v6, v6-wild and v6-mini on September 9, 2026, built with licensed material from Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe, as Music Week reported. Free users get v6-mini.
Where Mureka gives you a reference track, Suno gives you an upload. You can bring up to 8 minutes of your own audio on Free and up to 30 minutes on paid plans, then extend, cover or replace a section.
The catch is downloads. Pro includes 20 song downloads a month and Premier 60, where Mureka Pro has no cap on MP3s.
Pros
- v6 models built with licensed Warner, BMG and Believe material
- Replace or add a section, extend, cover and adjust speed
- Audio uploads up to 30 minutes on paid plans
- Stem separation on paid plans, and Suno Studio on Premier
Cons
- Free plan has no downloads and no commercial rights
- Paid downloads are capped at 20 (Pro) or 60 (Premier) a month
- No published list of the languages it can sing
Best for: Songwriters who want to fix one section without regenerating the whole song.
Pricing: Free with 50 credits a day. Pro $10/month billed monthly ($8/month billed yearly) for 2,500 credits; Premier $30/month billed monthly ($24/month billed yearly) for 10,000 credits (suno.com/pricing, checked October 2026). See our Suno alternatives guide if Suno’s caps are the problem.
3. ElevenLabs Music
ElevenLabs Music: Music v2 with section editing, stems and a licensing-first pitch.
ElevenLabs Music is an AI music generator from the voice AI company, offering sung or instrumental tracks with section editing and stems, with music commercial use from $6 a month.
ElevenLabs says the model was “built in partnership with artists, labels, and publishers” and that tracks are “cleared for broad commercial use”, with rights varying by tier. If Mureka’s silence on training data is why you’re looking, that’s the strongest statement on this list.
Music v2 sings in English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese “and many more”. You can select a chorus or bridge and regenerate only that part, leaving the rest of the song alone.
The pricing table lists 2 and 4 stems, and up to 6 on higher plans. You can also build a reusable Vocal and Style from your own tracks.
Pros
- Clearest licensing statement here: built with artists, labels and publishers
- Section editing regenerates one part without touching the rest
- Stem exports, up to 6 stems
- One account also covers text to speech, dubbing and sound effects (see our ElevenLabs alternatives guide for the voice side)
Cons
- Music draws on the same credits as voice work, at 900 credits a minute
- Free plan doesn’t list music commercial use
- Fewer community and discovery features than Suno or Mureka
Best for: Brands, agencies and video teams who need commercially cleared songs and already use ElevenLabs for voice.
Pricing: Free with about 11 minutes of music a month. Starter $6/month (about 33 minutes), Creator $22/month (about 134 minutes; the first month was 50% off when we checked), Pro $99/month (about 667 minutes), all billed monthly (elevenlabs.io/pricing, checked October 2026). Minutes assume every credit goes to music.
4. Google Flow Music
Google Flow Music: the former Riffusion and Producer.ai, now on Google’s Lyria models.
Google Flow Music is a chat-based AI music studio from Google, offering full songs with vocals, MP3, WAV and M4A downloads, and paid plans from $8 a month.
It began as Riffusion, became Producer.ai, and the producer.ai domain now redirects to flowmusic.app. Its homepage names Lyria 3.5 as the model.
You talk to an assistant called Producer the way you’d brief a studio engineer. It suits people who think in moods and references rather than genre tags.
Volume is its edge. Starter is rated at about 600 songs a month, more than Mureka Pro’s 500 at a lower monthly price.
Pros
- Google’s Lyria models
- Downloads in MP3, WAV and M4A
- About 600 songs a month on the Starter plan
- Chat workflow suits people who don’t think in genre tags
Cons
- The pricing page doesn’t state commercial-use terms; check Google’s terms before a release
- No published lyric-language list
- A young product still changing after the rebrand
Best for: Creators who make a lot of songs and want Google’s music model on a budget.
Pricing: Free with daily top-up credits. Starter $8/month billed monthly ($6/month billed yearly) for 3,000 credits, Plus $24/month ($18 billed yearly) for 10,000, Member $64/month ($48 billed yearly) for 30,000 (flowmusic.app/pricing, checked October 2026).
5. Soundverse
Soundverse: an agent-driven studio that creates, splits stems and distributes.
Soundverse is an agentic AI music studio, offering songs with vocals, stem tools, voice cloning and a license ladder that ends in distribution.
You type to its agent, and Soundverse routes the job to one of several models, including Google’s Lyria. You can switch models per generation, which Mureka doesn’t allow outside its own family.
Every plan includes stem splitting. Soundverse’s own comparison pages list the license by tier: personal on Free, royalty-free on Creator, a sample license on Pro and distribution on Max.
Pros
- Clear license ladder from personal use to distribution
- Stem splitting and voice cloning, even on the free sign-up tokens
- Switch between several models per generation
- WAV and stem exports on paid plans
Cons
- Quality depends on which model you pick
- Distribution rights need the top Max plan
- The pricing page runs countdown discounts, so the list price is hard to pin down
Best for: Independent artists who want generation, stems and distribution in one place.
Pricing: Free with 1,000 tokens at sign-up. Soundverse’s plan comparison page lists Creator at $12/month billed monthly ($10 billed yearly), Pro $36 ($29) and Max from $72 ($58). The live pricing page was running a limited-time discount when we checked in October 2026, and prices may vary by region.
6. Tad AI
Tad AI: a budget song generator with reference audio, covers and stem splitting.
Tad AI is a low-cost AI song generator running its own Tad 5.5 model, offering custom song length, reference audio uploads and a downloadable commercial license from $9.99 a month.
Its custom mode is close to Mureka’s create screen. You upload a reference, choose vocals or instrumental, and set the song’s duration.
Paid plans add AI lyrics enhancement, professional style prompts and more songs at once. The free tier is only a taste: 21 credits, enough for about 2 songs.
Pros
- Lowest paid entry price on this list with a commercial license
- Reference audio uploads and custom duration on paid plans
- Stem splitter, vocal remover and AI covers in the same app
- A commercial license you download with each song
Cons
- The free tier covers only about 2 songs
- Smaller user base and fewer independent quality tests than the leaders
- AI covers raise rights questions if you use someone else’s song
Best for: Budget creators who want Mureka-style reference control and commercial downloads for less.
Pricing: Free with 21 credits (about 2 songs). Standard $9.99/month billed monthly ($7.99/month billed yearly) for 500 credits, up to 50 songs; Pro $29.99/month billed monthly ($23.99/month billed yearly) for 2,000 credits, up to 200 songs (tad.ai/pricing, checked October 2026).
7. Udio
Udio: still makes songs, but downloads have been off since October 2025.
Udio is an AI song generator known for natural vocals, offering extend, inpaint and remix tools, but no downloads and personal, non-commercial use only.
On October 29, 2025, Udio partnered with Universal Music Group. Its help center still says: “downloading of audio, video, and stems has been disabled.”
Its terms say you may use output “solely for your personal and non-commercial purposes” and may not download copies.
It’s on this list because the vocals and editing are still good, and you can share songs by link. If the song has to leave udio.com, pick something else.
Pros
- Known for natural-sounding vocals
- Extend, inpaint and remix tools
- Free tier with 10 credits a day
Cons
- No downloads of audio, video or stems
- Personal, non-commercial use only
- No sign of the promised licensed platform when we checked in October 2026
Best for: Hobbyists who make songs for fun and share them by link.
Pricing: Free with 10 credits a day. Standard $10/month billed monthly ($8/month billed yearly), Pro $30/month billed monthly ($24/month billed yearly) (udio.com/pricing, checked October 2026). Our Udio alternatives guide covers the download ban in full.

How to choose the right Mureka alternative
The song goes under a video. Pick Vidwip AI Music. Set the length to your cut, paste lyrics about your product, and the song lands on the same timeline as your footage and voiceover.
You want to fix one line without starting over. Pick Suno for section replace, or ElevenLabs Music for section editing with stems.
Licensing is the reason you’re leaving. Pick ElevenLabs Music, which says its model was built with artists, labels and publishers.
You make lots of songs on a budget. Pick Google Flow Music for about 600 songs a month from $8, or Tad AI for a commercial license from $9.99.
You want to release to streaming services. Pick Soundverse Max for distribution rights, or stay on Mureka Premier for WAV, MIDI and stems.
If you mostly need instrumentals rather than sung lyrics, our Soundraw alternatives and AIVA alternatives guides cover that side of the market.
The verdict
Mureka is still a strong lyric-to-song tool, and its unlimited MP3 downloads and full rights on past songs are hard to beat at $10 a month. You leave it for a specific gap, not because it’s broken.
Suno fills the editing gap, ElevenLabs Music the licensing gap, Google Flow Music the volume gap and Tad AI the price gap. Udio only fits if the song never needs to leave its site.
If your song ends up under a video, Vidwip AI Music skips the trim-and-loop step. You pick the length first, write the lyrics in your viewer’s language, and the song is already on your timeline.
