With sound on, Google Cloud is the cheapest Veo 3.1 provider we could read: $0.05 a second for Lite, $0.10 to $0.12 for Fast and $0.40 for full Veo 3.1. fal.ai and Runway charge the same for full Veo 3.1 and $0.15 for Fast. Krea is cheaper still, but its Veo prices look silent at 720p. Vidwip is dearer per second ($0.063 to $0.080 for Lite, $0.150 to $0.190 for Fast, $0.474 to $0.600 for full), and sells 16 video models on one balance.
The cheapest Veo 3.1 provider depends on the tier and on whether you need sound. With audio on, Google’s own Vertex AI price table is the lowest we could read for all three tiers, and Krea looks cheaper only because its figures are silent 720p.
We checked each price on vendor pages in November 2026 and quote US dollars. We did not run these models ourselves, so this is a price comparison, not a quality test. For the model itself, read our Veo 3.1 review.
TL;DR: the cheapest Veo 3.1 provider by tier
Google Cloud is cheapest with sound on: $0.05 a second for Lite, $0.10 for Fast and $0.40 for full Veo 3.1 at 720p. Prices are per second of video with audio.
| Tier | Cheapest with audio | Next | Vidwip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Veo 3.1 Lite | Google Cloud, fal.ai: $0.05 (720p) | Vidwip: $0.063 to $0.080 | 8 credits a second, 720p |
| Veo 3.1 Fast | Google Cloud: $0.10 (720p), $0.12 (1080p) | fal.ai, Runway: $0.15 | $0.150 to $0.190, 1080p |
| Veo 3.1 | Google Cloud, fal.ai, Runway: $0.40 | Vidwip: $0.474 to $0.600 | 60 credits a second, 1080p |
How we computed price per second
We use each vendor’s own per-second price where one exists, and plan price divided by video count where it does not. Every figure is per second of output.
- API list prices (Google Cloud, fal.ai, Runway): read straight off the page.
- Subscriptions (Krea): plan price ÷ the number of 4-second videos the page says it buys ÷ 4.
- Vidwip: credits a second × $0.0079 (Pro annual, $79 a month for 10,000 credits) up to $0.01 (Starter monthly, $25 for 2,500).
Resolution and audio change the price, so each row says which one applies. Promos and regional prices vary.

1. Google Cloud (Vertex AI): cheapest with sound
Google Cloud’s Veo price table, checked November 6, 2026
Google Cloud sells Veo 3.1 at $0.40, Fast at $0.10 to $0.12 and Lite at $0.05 to $0.08 a second with audio, per its Vertex AI pricing page. That is the lowest with-audio price we found at every tier.
- Veo 3.1: $0.40 at 720p and 1080p, $0.60 at 4K. Audio off is $0.20, and $0.40 at 4K.
- Veo 3.1 Fast: $0.10 at 720p, $0.12 at 1080p. Audio off is $0.08 and $0.10.
- Veo 3.1 Lite: $0.05 at 720p, $0.08 at 1080p. Audio off is $0.03 and $0.05.
One caveat: the table’s unit reads “1 count”, not “1 second”. It matches Runway’s per-second rate exactly, so we read it as a second, but Google does not say so on the page. The pricing page also lists a 4K Fast price, while Google’s model page says Fast stops at 1080p.
Lite is labeled Preview on Google’s model page, while Veo 3.1 and Fast are GA. This is a Google Cloud project with billing, not a consumer app.
Best for: developers who can use Google Cloud and want the lowest list price.
2. fal.ai: same price as Runway, one deadline to note
fal.ai’s Veo 3.1 Lite page, checked November 6, 2026
fal.ai charges $0.40 a second for Veo 3.1 with audio at 1080p and $0.15 for Fast, per its Veo 3.1 page. Lite is $0.05 at 720p with audio and $0.08 at 1080p, so it ties Google Cloud on the cheapest tier.
Audio off halves most prices: $0.20 for full, $0.10 for Fast, $0.03 for Lite at 720p. The 4K rates are $0.35 for Fast with audio.
The three model pages we read carry a notice that the endpoint will be removed on November 17, 2026. We could not find fal’s replacement, so check its catalog before you build on these IDs.
Best for: teams already on fal.ai who want per-second billing and no Google Cloud account.
3. Runway API: $0.40 and $0.15, no Lite
Runway’s developer API pricing, checked November 6, 2026
Runway’s API pricing lists Veo 3.1 at 40 credits a second with audio ($0.40) and 20 without ($0.20), and Fast at 15 ($0.15) and 10 ($0.10). A credit is $0.01. There is no Veo 3.1 Lite on the page.
It matches fal.ai on the two tiers it carries and loses to Google Cloud on Fast. Pick it if Runway’s other models are already in your pipeline.
Best for: Runway API users who want Veo next to Runway’s own models.
4. Krea: cheapest looking, but silent 720p
Krea’s plans, checked November 6, 2026
Krea gives approximate video counts, not per-second prices, and they are for 4-second 720p videos with audio off. On its pricing page, Basic ($9 a month) buys about 56 Lite videos or 21 Fast videos, and Pro ($35) about 84 Fast or 33 Veo 3.1.
That works out to about $0.040 a second for Lite, $0.107 for Fast and $0.265 for Veo 3.1. Billed yearly, Krea shows $5 for Basic and $21 for Pro, which cuts those by about 40%.
Those are silent, 720p numbers, and the counts are rounded. Do not put them next to a 1080p price with sound. Krea does not list a with-audio count for Veo on that page.
Best for: silent drafts and mood tests at 720p.
5. Magnific: only a 4K price on the page
Magnific’s plans, checked November 6, 2026
Magnific’s pricing page lists one Veo line: Veo 3.1 at 4K with audio costs 2,080 credits for 4 seconds, or 520 credits a second. Plans are priced in euros and exclude VAT.
Premium is EUR 15 a month, or EUR 10.50 billed yearly, for 240,000 credits a year. If we spread those evenly over 12 months, 4K with audio is about EUR 0.39 a second on monthly billing and EUR 0.27 on yearly. That is our arithmetic, not a published per-second price.
On October 30 we read Magnific’s Lite price as $0.040 a second and noted its Fast and full rates looked silent (full Veo 3.1 with audio near $0.38 at 1080p). We could not re-confirm those on November 6, so we left them out of the table.
Best for: people already on Magnific who want 4K.
Invideo and Higgsfield: not re-confirmed
Invideo’s best-value plan showed Veo 3.1 Lite from $0.027 a second on October 30, and Fast from $0.064. We could not reconfirm Veo on its current pricing page, which now highlights Seedance models, so treat those as listed on October 30, not confirmed in November. Higgsfield’s pricing page did not load usable plan data for us.
Google’s own apps and the Gemini API
Google’s consumer plans do not publish a per-second price, so they cannot be ranked. Per Google’s plans page, AI Plus is $4.99 a month, AI Pro is $19.99 with a limited Veo 3.1 Lite trial, and AI Ultra starts at $99.99 with Veo 3.1. Flow credits are 200, 1,000 and 10,000 or 25,000.
The Gemini API no longer sells Veo 3.1. Google’s deprecations page lists veo-3.1-generate-preview, veo-3.1-fast-generate-preview and veo-3.1-lite-generate-preview with an October 22, 2026 shutdown and names gemini-omni-1.2-flash as the replacement. Omni runs about $0.07 a second at 720p, per Google’s Gemini API pricing page.
For a full look at that split, read Gemini Omni vs Veo 3.1.
6. Vidwip: dearer per second, more in one place
Vidwip’s AI Video Generator is not the cheapest Veo 3.1 provider, and the table shows it. It runs Veo 3.1 Lite at 8 credits a second (720p), Fast at 19 (1080p) and Veo 3.1 at 60 (1080p), all with sound at 4, 6 or 8 seconds.
| Model | Credits/s | Starter ($0.01 a credit) | Pro annual ($0.0079) | 8-second clip |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Veo 3.1 Lite | 8 | $0.080 | $0.063 | $0.51 to $0.64 |
| Veo 3.1 Fast | 19 | $0.190 | $0.150 | $1.20 to $1.52 |
| Veo 3.1 | 60 | $0.600 | $0.474 | $3.79 to $4.80 |
What the premium buys: Veo and 13 other video models on one credit balance, and shots that land on an editing timeline. Plans start at $25 a month. See pricing and the models page.
If you only generate Veo clips in bulk, use Google Cloud or fal.ai. If you also use Seedance, Kling or Hailuo, compare against Seedance 2.5 vs Veo 3.1.
How to choose
- Cheapest with sound: Google Cloud, at $0.05, $0.10 and $0.40 a second.
- No Google Cloud account: fal.ai or Runway, minding fal’s November 17 notice.
- Silent drafts at 720p: Krea.
- Many models, one bill, an editor: Vidwip, at a premium.
- Alternatives to Veo itself: see our Veo alternatives, and why Sora is gone.
Conclusion
Google Cloud is the cheapest Veo 3.1 provider we could read with sound on, and fal.ai and Runway match it on full Veo 3.1. Krea looks cheaper only because it prices silent 720p.
Vidwip sits at a higher price per second at every tier, and we say so. We will update this post when fal.ai’s endpoints change on November 17 or Google confirms its price unit.
